In addition to his talents as a musician and funeral celebrant, Claudel Callender offers a wide range of musical services. An experienced singing teacher, he guides his students in the development of their vocal technique and expressiveness. As a harmonizer and arranger, Claudel brings a creative and professional touch to your musical projects, transforming compositions into harmonious and balanced works. In addition, as a choirmaster, he conducts with passion and expertise, uniting voices to create powerful and moving collective performances.
SINGING TEACHER
Mr. Callender has extensive experience in voice teaching, having taught at the McGill Conservatory and the music department of Cégep de Joliette as well as at UQAM, in addition to pursuing an active career as a professional singer (OSM, ODM, etc.) and choir director, notably with the professional vocal ensemble Vox Luminosa. Holder of a Doctorate in voice from the Université de Montréal, he perfected his skills with Prof. Richard Miller at the Oberlin Conservatory (Ohio), in New York with Dr. William Riley and with Professor Emeritus at the Julliard School of Music, Oren L. Brown, author of "Discover Your Voice", considered by many to be the reference in modern vocal pedagogy.
HARMONIZER, ARRANGER AND COMPOSER
Author of numerous arrangements for choir and original compositions (songs, piano pieces, etc.), Mr. Callender is the author of the "Messe du Pardon" composed in the wake of the events of September 11, 2001, released on the Production XXI / Dep-Unisersal label in 2008, and of "Présence", an album bringing together 18 unpublished instrumental compositions, released in 2012 on the Adlib label with the prestigious Claudel Canimex string quartet.
